Do You Set it and Forget it?

Remember the Showtime Rotisserie?  Ron Popeil invented a small rotisserie oven and coined the phrase ‘set it and forget it’ as part of the ease of using the invention.

Have you had a ‘set it and forget it’ website and Internet marketing strategy?

As many dealerships are headed into the ‘off season’ it’s a great time to get out the measuring stick and see how your Internet marketing efforts are paying off.  Here are a few questions to help get you started.

  • Are you on track to achieve your website and Internet related goals for 2010?  Didn’t set any goals?  Get started now for 2011.
  • Are you confident your dealership took advantage of every lead that came into your dealership?  Use your simple CRM to keep track of every lead and even your closing ratios by marketing source.
  • How is each of your Internet marketing methods performing?  Do your classifieds, pay per click, and other strategies have an acceptable ROI?
  • Is social media on your radar?  If done correctly, there can be benefits to Facebook, blogging, and other social tools.  It’s not too late to start.

 

Your website is your number one marketing tool ... be careful not to have a set it and forget it attitude.  Now is a great time to get your Internet marketing strategies well positioned for 2011.
