Easily Post Ads to Craigslist
Craigslist is just plain tough to work with. If you've taken a look at other inventory solutions that help you post units to Craigslist you notice pretty quickly that it's a clunky process and it isn't always reliable. We took our time to put together a solution that abides by all their strict rules, but also makes it super simple to post inventory units right from the InteractRV Control Panel.
Click the Craigslist link when managing a specific unit.
Post your entire ad all from ONE screen.
How To video tutorial available once you click the Craigslist link ... check it out in your Control Panel!
Keep Sold Units on Your Site
Some dealers have mentioned they would like to keep sold units on their websites for reasons that are both marketing and strategically driven.
CAUTION: This strategy comes with some things you'll want to consider before you make a final decision. Best to get with your team captain to review so you can make an educated decision on this strategy.
Notice in your CP inventory manager you can now search by Available and/or Sold units.
When managing your inventory unit there is now a Sold checkbox.
This Sold checkbox used to be the Active field. Nothing has changed in how you use it except that having Sold unchecked means it is Available. All inventory is Available by default unless you specifically check it as Sold.
Use specific Sold RV landing pages to display your sold units over time.
Other Changes and Improvements
- Media Center - You can now move images around using IE9.
- Follow-ups - Save & New now loads follow-up list correctly on contact detail page.
- CRM - Follow-ups - Now display current/future dates.

The following additions and changes have been made available:
Force Get Lowest Price
You can now have a global override on Get Lowest Price so that no matter if a Discount Price exists or not the button will still be displayed on the listing and detail pages. Get with your team captain to ask about configuring this on for your site.
MobileSite Updates
- Even better user experience from your website to your mobile site when www site visitors viewing inventory units on their mobile devices are pleasantly redirected to your mobile site on the same inventory unit page.
- Disclaimer text added to bottom of inventory pages.
- Contact confirmation page text changed to be even more friendly.
- Updated Directions and Call Us feature for multiple locations to display closest to visitor.
- Recently Arrived RVs unable to click to next unit issue resolved.
Site Maps
We've always had site maps for your sites that we submit to Google and other search engines so they can know where each and every page on your site is and how often it is updated. We have made significant improvements to this tool to get even more accurate and timely updates out to Google and other sites.

For some months we have been working to update the technologies we are using that make the Control Panel run. The updates made this morning are the first in many to come now that we've got a new foundation laid. Thank you to those of you who were patient with us as we made these changes and had a few hickups this morning. If you have any questions please get with your IRV Team Captain and they will help you out.
Additions and Changes
Login Screen Changes
Works the same as it did before just looks a bit different. The change was made to support some new security features.
CRM > Float List has been added back to the CRM!
This enables you to easily put a list of contacts on the side without having to keep clicking back and forth.
CRM > View All Users
- Now a checkbox and if you are logged in as an Admin
then it is checked by default.
- To view just your personal Alerts and
Follow-ups just uncheck the box.
- It will stay checked or unchecked as you work the leads.

New User Access Permission
Use this permission to lock out certain users that take photos from making the inventory units live on the site before you have a chance to double check them. Checking ths permission doesn't allow them to change the Waiting for Approval or the Notes box.
Add/Edit Contact Screen Workflow Changes
To keep all required fields 'above the fold' on your screen the following fields were moved to the upper right side of the screen: Alert, Origin, and Referred By.
Add/Edit Follow-up Screen Workflow Changes
The Follow-up Date field was moved between Details and Outcome and the date picker now displays once you click in the date field.
Resolutions
-
When managing Library models to be turned on and off the 2012 models were not staying checked/turned on. This has been resolved.
- Invnetory photo ordering issue has been resolved when managing photos then clicking save from the inventory unit detail page.

The Facebook Like and Twitter Tweet buttons are now available on our dealer RV inventory and library pages.
We wanted to do this right so each of our dealers has the best possible chance of success. We can't share all of our secrets on our public blog but here was our approach...
Get Shoppers coming to You
One of the best things both Facebook and Twitter ever did was provide the Like and Tweet buttons. When your website visitors click them they are kept on your site but info about your RV and a link back to your website is sent out to all your website visitor's friends.
The Right Image
It was important that we could determine which photo was displayed on the Facebook wall. Harder to accomplish than you might think, but we did. The picture that gets displayed is the primary outside shot.
Comments Rule
Facebook itself says that a post with a comment will be considered more of a Top Story than a post that doesn't have a comment. We were able to get commenting built into the Like button on the dealer sites in most browsers. Some browser version are still learning to play well together with Facebook.
An example of the Facebook Like in action:
Step 1: A website shopper clicks the Like button on one of your inventory or library RV pages

Step 2: The website visitor is prompted to write their own comment.
Step 3: The link and comment immediately display on the visitor's Facebook Wall AND all their friends' Wall.
Need convincing that Facebook is a realistic method to reach out to over 600,000 shoppers? Check out Facebook current statistics here. Twitter has their own 200,000 plus following as well.
It's not about whether to use tools like these, it's a matter of using them in a way that makes sense for your dealership and the goals you are working hard to achieve.

These additions, changes, and fixes are now available for InteractRV Dealer clients:
Get Lowest Price Used Units
We have created the ability to customize the Get Lowest
Price text on the popup for used units specifically. The following scenarios
are now possible:
- Use the default GLP text. (covers both new and
used)
- Use the custom GLP text. (covers both new and
used)
- Use the custom GLP Used text (covers used only)
Get Lowest Price Referring URL
When a contact submitted a request through Get Lowest Price
if the referring url was dealersite.com it was transposing that into the dealer
name Dealer Site and not using the root domain for the referring value.
This caused irregular reporting information and has now been corrected.
Unloaded Vehicle Weight Added to Sort
When sorting is turned on for a RV listing page Weight can
now be added as a sort option. This allows shoppers to more easily find
lighter and/or heavier weighted RVs.
New/Used Added to RV Detail Page
On the RV inventory detail page the text New or Used has
been added to the front of the page meta title and the product heading.
This makes it more clear at first glance whether the unit is new or used.
Multiple URL Reorganization
There were multiple ways to get to the same inventory detail
page using URL rewriting. This has been changed so that there is one
primary way and all other methods are now permanent 301 redirects to the
primary page name. This was done to assist with search engine
optimization.
Search Listings Absolute URL Path
On some of the search listing pages the URL that leads to
the RV detail page was not using the fully qualified url like http://www.dealersite.com/...
Instead it was using a relative path. This was changed to the
absolute path to handle existing and future integration with sub domain sites,
micro sites, and mini sites for dealers.
These are some improvements designed to help you continue to be the best
in your marketplace and give you an edge over your competitors. If you
